Biscoff Spread

My obsession for the last year has been Biscoff Spread (in fact, I don't know what has taken me so long to share this treat).  Sound familiar?  That's because this irresistible spread is made out of Biscoff cookies (57% to be exact), the equally irresistible cookies that you have probably received during a flight.
From Lotus' website; comes in creamy and crunchy
Biscoff Spread is a recent introduction to the US, but has been a staple in Belgium for years where it is know as "speculoos" and is served over traditional Belgian waffles (which are nothing like what Americans know Belgian waffles to be).
My favorite way to serve this creamy, dreamy spread is on whole wheat toast.  If you are in the mood for something especially tasty, try slicing some bananas on top...soooo good!  It is also really great spread on apples.
Biscoff Spread now comes in a crunchy variety; I have not had the chance to try it, but cannot wait until I have the opportunity to!

I also cannot wait to use Biscoff Spread as a mix-in in a multitude of recipes, such as cupcakes, etc.  I hope to have a recipe up within the next week!
If you were a Nutella lover before become dairy free, I would definitely give Biscoff Spread a try.  It does not have a chocolate base like Nutella, but it is a great spread.  It is also a great alternative to peanut butter if you also suffer from nut allergies.  To top it all off, Biscoff Spread is vegan too!

Have you had Biscoff Spread?  Are you as in love with it as I am?!

Beanfields: Nacho Bean & Rice Chips

*The following is an honest review, but I was compensated for the cost of the products by Beanfields

I already know what you are thinking.  Nacho?  On a dairy free blog?
From Beanfields' website

Well, the good people at Beanfields saw the lacking nacho options in the dairy free chip category and created a cheesy, delicious treat: Nacho Bean & Rice Chips.

"Finally a non-dairy snack with all of the familiar cheesy flavor of the worlds best selling chip flavor - NACHO! Our most addictive flavor yet, you won't believe how good these taste even without any of the top 8 food allergens, including dairy, and with all the nutrition of our bean based chips."
Because these tasty snacks are made with beans they are not only dairy free, but they are also gluten, corn, and soy free.  Beanfields does not use GMO ingredients either, which is a great plus.
I gave a handful of these chips to my dad, who is not dairy free and is a nacho chip lover, and he really enjoyed them.  My dad is also a fiber enthusiast and the Nacho Bean & Rice Chips contain 4g of fiber in every serving, so he was very happy!

The Nacho Bean & Rice Chips are great on their own or when served with salsa and guacamole.  In fact, I just polished a few off topped with sliced avocado...yummy!

I can't wait to try other products from Beanfields!

I'm Baaaaaaaaaaack

After a long two months, I am back to blogging!  This last semester proved to be very challenging, and rewarding, to me and I let blogging fall to the wayside.

I have truly missed posting and sharing dairy free info and cannot wait to get back into the swing of things!

xoxo,
Amanda
